    Nickolas Sharp, a former software engineer at Ubiquiti Networks, has been arrested and charged in connection with a data breach that occurred in December 2020. Sharp, who worked in Ubiquiti's cloud division from August 2018 to March 2021, allegedly used a Surfshark VPN account to conceal his identity while accessing the company's AWS servers and GitHub repositories, stealing gigabytes of confidential data.
